Technical consultancy is always a broad subject, but this corresponds with the breath of knowledge that I can offer.
Current ongoing consultancy projects include:
Network Analysis – working for an international Financial Software Developer ensuring that their clients get the best possible end-user experience from their leading edge software portfolio by auditing and advising on network improvement at their client sites before installation and upgrade.
System Administration – Provide an outsourced system administrator function to a financial institution having obtained the relevant security clearances and as such monitor and resolve issues around their hybrid Windows / Cloud implementation as well as provide regular onsite support where required.
Access Database Development – supporting my client with their legacy access system that provides core information on their business to their owner, and the development of software for their sales force to ensure a timely and consistent sales workflow.
Software Development – design and development and ongoing support of a bespoke Sales Application for submission to head office and providing client data to assist the sales process.
Business Technology Reviews – I regularly carry out reviews of technical aspects for small business, included in this are threat assessments to the business and advising on plans to mitigate risk when it comes to information technology.
Website Development – bespoke web development on the WordPress Platform for a Financial institution as well as a number of smaller projects for IFA’s and product and service businesses.
Executive Advisor – engaged to provide a “plain english” interface between technology experts and my clients who want a more simplified view in order to make decisions that affect their technology and operations.
Other interesting projects include:
Advising on the technical elements of a Patent Application, Developing a unique software product for invoice submission for farmers on Android tablets and through a REST / JSON interface.
I have considerable experience with Office 365 and have successfully moved a number of small businesses to this cloud based platform.
Engagement
I offer all my clients options for engaging my services to assist, these can be by the hour, via video conferencing or onsite.
I do not “tie in” or restrict clients in any way, and all my work is based upon an open business relationship.

I do not directly employ any other consultants, I do suggest specialists if I do not have specific knowledge, but this is with your agreement, there is no subcontracting or rebranding of personnel, any specialists would create their own agreement with you directly.
